FACTORY TRAINED OTJ EXPERIENCE ENGINEERING SUPPORT
There are several accessories for use in bag
filter housings such as restrainer baskets and hold-down rings which
come with the bag filter housing, but others like bag positioners,
magnetic separators and displacement balloons contribute to less
product loss, longer filter bag life and a safer work environment.
Restrainer (support) Basket
Used to fully support a filled filter
bag, reducing chance of rupture once filled. The standard
design is made of 316SS and has 9/64"
perforations. The bottom of the filter bag should extend
all the way to the bottom of the restrainer basket. We also
offer mesh lined versions to "convert" filter housings into large
pipeline strainers. For coarse filtration applications this
may be a better alternative than mesh filter bags. You can
replacement or spare support basket for any brand bag filter
Hold Down Ring
Used for applying downward pressure onto the filter bag for
better sealing with the restrainer basket. Hold down rings are
not required for all filter housing styles and are not used for
SNAP-RING™ filter bags.
Also referred to as "filter bag locks"
ensure proper positioning of the filter bag within the restrainer basket. Bag positioners should be used for
all applications that have potential for back pressure (otherwise
causes the filter bag to move a lot within the restrainer
basket). They are required for
and LOFCLEAR™ filter bags.
Are powerful (2000 - 9300
earth magnetic assemblies that provides the function of a Bag Positioner with the added feature of retention of
magnetic particles. Magnetic inserts are suspended within the
filter bag, decreasing the loading of magnetic particles within the
filter bag, extending the interval between filter bag changes.
Is a hollow stainless steel cylinder
suspended within the filter bag to reduce residual fluid when the
filter bag needs to be replaced, thereby reducing product loss.
Using a displacement balloon also makes removing the filter bag
easier because it weighs less and there's less outward pressure
pressing its surface against the restrainer basket.
This is a safety accessory engineered for
filter housings to protect the eyes
and faces of operators from unexpected pressurized spray and
"splash" of the filtered fluid. A broken or misplaced seal, a
spike in line pressure, or the failure to fully relieve system
pressure before servicing the filter bag vessel can result in potentially dangerous and costly spray. The Splash Guard
deflects the spray downwards and away from the faces of personnel.
